I am a multi-disciplined creative freelance web designer, graphic designer, writer, and artist based in Chester, Cheshire, who is passionate about communication in all its forms.

A career path that has included architecture, journalism, publishing, graphic design, web design and art allows me to consider every creative challenge from a variety of perspectives, in three dimensions, two dimensions, through the written and spoken word, digitally, or with a pencil or paintbrush.

I don’t confine myself to one medium. I use words, pictures, art, colour, lines, computers, paints, pencils, my eyes, my mouth and – most of all – my ears.

I am a creative communicator who strives to bring intelligence, imagination and quality to all my work.

I love working with agencies and clients across the North West, Cheshire, Merseyside, and Staffordshire and am available for freelance design work across the UK.

HAVE IDEAS, WILL TRAVEL

I believe in collaboration not competition. I don’t believe rivalry and agency borders are good for the creative process and design industry – if good design is to thrive the more agencies and creatives collaborate and cross-fertilize the better. The end result can only be magnified the more we work together and share our experiences and knowledge.

This is why I enjoy working with different creatives, different agencies and like-minded souls such as Aurora Media, in Liverpool – working with and learning from enthusiastic talented people who make me set my own bar even higher.

WHAT I DO

Graphic design, web design, brand identity, creative campaigns, social media, SEO, publishing, writing, journalism, production journalism, sub-editing, layout design, newspaper and magazine redesigns, copywriting. Usually a combination of many of these things, occasionally all of them. Sometimes, and that’s the fun bit, none of them.
