I have been designing and coding websites for small and medium-sized businesses since 2003. I design and code sleek, modern websites that help businesses make an impact, increase sales and grow.

Trained in architecture, followed by 12 years as a professional production journalist and graphic designer, I bring all my skills to my web design projects.

My broad experience allows me to combine a strong visual sense, a way with words, and a genuine commercial awareness with the ability to code useful web applications.

A GEEK WHO CAN SPEAK

My language of choice is plain english, but I can speak fluent geek when I need to. For those who understand, I use CSS and XHTML which also make the most of database-driven functionality using PHP & MySQL.

I hand-code all my websites using Dreamweaver, CSS, XHTML, PHP, MySQL, javascript, jQuery, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Cufon and the occasional smattering of Flash.

I may be au fait with the more technical stuff but this doesn't mean I can't communicate with real people in the real world. In fact my strength lies in getting out, meeting people, talking and, most importantly, listening and responding to my client's needs.

My background in journalism and writing also means I can happily write and rewrite all copy for your website, ensuring it is error-free, grammatically correct and that it ticks all the Search Engine Optimisation boxes (SEO) to keep your site up at the top in Google and other search engines.
